About us

A different kind of property buyer.

We're Glasgow-based, Scotland-focused, and built around a simple idea: most sellers don't want a one-size-fits-all cash offer. They want a buyer who actually listens and proposes the route that genuinely suits their property and their situation.

Who we are.

Clyde Housebuyers is the home-buying arm of PropGain UK Limited — a Glasgow-based property business operating across Scotland's Central Belt. We buy directly, refurbish, broker, and partner on residential property. We've been working in Scottish property for years, and Clyde Housebuyers was launched specifically to give sellers a clearer, more honest alternative to the national "we buy any house" cash buyer model.

Why we do it differently.

Most cash-buyer firms operate the same way: aggressive marketing, lowball offers, take-it-or-leave-it pressure tactics. We came at this from a different angle — most of our team are property investors ourselves. We know that a one-size cash offer leaves money on the table for sellers whose property could be worth significantly more via an assisted sale, tenanted sale, or other structured route. So we offer all of them, and we tell you straight which one fits your property best.

How we make money.

We're not embarrassed about being a business. We make money four ways: direct cash purchases that we refurbish and resell or hold as rentals; assisted sales where we share the uplift with you; brokerage commissions on off-market sales; and joint-venture profits. What we don't do is charge sellers fees, hide commissions in the legal fees, or sell on your details to other buyers.

What we believe.

  • Sellers deserve clear options, not pressure. Every seller we speak to gets a free valuation and an honest view of the best route for their property — even if that route isn't us.
  • Glasgow-based means Glasgow knowledge. A tenement off Byres Road isn't the same as a four-in-a-block in Pollok. National cash buyers treat them the same. We don't.
  • The quickest sale isn't always the best sale. If you've got time and your property has potential, the right route can net you tens of thousands more.
  • If we can't help, we'll say so. Some sellers are better served by an estate agent, a debt advisor, or a family lawyer. We'll tell you.
